Some days you just have to suffer. Out training today, it was as if I was riding in a giant, cold shower with freezing water and mud soaking into every one of my pores. Yesterday I raced the Omloop Schin op Geul in Limburg. This time the hills were not really anything to write home about but it was windy as all hell. I raced the Omloop van de Gilze this afternoon and finished 20th. It was a very different style of race to last week but I jumped back into it pretty decently. I wasn’t on fire; but stayed conservative for most of the day; doing what was necessary to stay in the front but not more. Yesterday I won the fourth stage of the Arden Challenge. It really is an amazing feeling. Early in the stage I split away with a group of eighteen riders on a long uphill drag and was away for the day. The parcours was in line with the previous three days; featuring hilly, forested roads that led into a set of finishing circuits with a bit of a climb on each lap. I stayed relaxed all day; riding...

After finishing 11th yesterday in stage 2 by way of another long breakaway in the hills of Wallonie, I started today, the third etappe in 5th on the GC. It was a hard effort, I was feeling the past couple of days in my legs and had to be aware of what the riders close to me in the classification were doing and cover if they tried to go up the road.
